About Me

I found a book about tangling while on vacation in 2015. I was hooked immediately and I've been tangling ever since. My focus is to share my tangling interest by teaching others to tangle. • Certified Zentangle Teacher (CZT) from Zentangle, Inc., 2022
• Art Therapy Practitioner Certification in progress from Scholistico, expected completion 2026

I grew up with art because my mom is an artist and an art teacher. I used to do a lot of art but in middle school I had a disappointing experience that caused me to stop (I have since learned this is quite common). In my 40's, I happened upon a Zentangle book and I was hooked. 

I love the way the patterns look and I love even more the way I can learn how to make them. The more I tangle the more I meet the artist inside myself. I also find that I "see" more in the world around me - there are patterns everywhere!

Zentangle is a wonderful space in the art world - very welcoming while teaching us all many new art techniques and methods.

I took my CZT training in 2022 because I wanted to better understand The Zentangle Method and expand my skills. 

It was a life-changing and amazing experience for me. In my classes I often share what I discovered at CZT training. One thing I'll tell you right now is that I learned to like my own handwriting. 

I love pairing my CZT training with my degree in Education to help teach people of all ages about this amazing art medium.
