I am available to teach in-person Zentangle classes in the Northeast to Central Ohio region. I can also teach at conferences that require travel. Zentangle is a great option at conferences with a wellness component, in a way similar to offering morning yoga. I am a Certified Zentangle Teacher (CZT), certified by the Zentangle organization since October 2022. I also have a Bachelors Degree in Education and many years experience teaching.

Zentangle is an easy-to-learn, relaxing and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns.

The Introduction to Zentangle workshop is a perfect place to begin! For both organizations offering art classes and students taking the classes! In this workshop students will learn about the Zentangle Method, work with authentic Zentangle materials, and create their own first-ever Zentangle tile to take home.

Once students take an Intro to Zentangle workshop they usually want to learn more! That's what my Basics of Zentangle series is for! At these workshops students learn the basic techniques and tools so they are equipped to practice Zentangle independently to the extent they would like. These workshops are built around and expanded upon the Zentangle Primer book (available from me, Zentangle.com, and other places books are sold). Includes 12 separate workshops. Can be offered at the pace that suits your group (no need to offer all 12, begin with one and go from there).

I am certified to teach Zentangle to children and also have a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education. I also teach to adults. Add Zentangle classes to your homeschool co-op schedule (Zentangle improves fine-motor skills which helps children with their writing). 

The cost per person for classes depends on what materials you want attendees to take home, my time to prepare and teach, and my travel time. Some organizations pay my full fee and charge attendees nothing. Others pay a portion of the fee and ask attendees to pay part of the cost, usually $5.00 to $10.00 per person. I can teach classes with a minimum of 10 students guaranteed for $15.00 per student (students keep the Zentangle tile they create at class). More complex classes are also available that include a take-home kit of Zentangle supplies.

Most introductory and basic Zentangle classes require two full hours. More detailed projects may required up to three hours.
